TACG is seeking a Compliance/Audit Readiness SME tosupport Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) efforts to meet the congressional mandate of achieving fully auditable financial statements. Perform a wide variety of analysis on the composition of DoD financial statements. Analyze internal controls and test plans to support internal test work in preparation for a financial statement audit. Support internal control and substantive testing of business processes and financial statements. Liaise with client stakeholders and subject matter professionals. Support a workstream with the workstream lead. This position is in Dayton, OH.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
  • Provide expertise to support various DAF and SAF/FM IT System Audits (Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR), Information Technology (IT), Standard Financial Information Structure (SFIS), etc.)
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and system communities to maintain and provide complete, reliable, consistent and timely information which is prepared on a uniform basis
  • Prepare systems documentation to include narratives, risk assessments and internal control worksheets documenting processes, risk control activities, IT general computer controls for significant systems, applications or micro-applications, system certifications/accreditations, system and end user locations, and systems documentation locations
  • Collaborate with Program office accordingly to support and resolve audit issues, assess financially relevant systems, and develop, implement and sustain corrective action plans

Essential Job Requirements:
  • Clearance:
    • Secret
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree preferred

Required Knowledge/Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience with accounting or auditing
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of financial statements focusing on federal accounting, including general ledgers, such as USSGL
  • Knowledge of accounting with a focus on government accounting standards and audit standards or practical field work in governmental accounting and auditing
  • Experience with financial audits
  • Experience in the FIAR community a plus
  • Knowledge of DoD working capital funds, financial management practices, or business processes preferred
  • Knowledge of A-123, GAAP, GAAS, or similar accounting preferred
  • Ability to excel in a culture with a high degree of ambiguity
  • Possession of excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills


Position Pay Range

$140,000-$165,000 USD
