Provides technical assistance in the development, design, analysis, improvements, implementation, and application support for components used in power substations.

Provides technical assistance in the development, design, analysis, improvements, implementation, and application support for components used in power substations.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interface with senior engineers to learn critical internal processes and design standards.
- Create designs for substation components (existing and new).
- Evaluate and implement design improvements to products in development.
- Create complex forms and configurators to select the equipment with the correct characteristics.
- Support manufacturing of power components.
- Design and implement tooling and fixtures.
- Training internal and external customers.
- Support and oversee customer and warranty claims.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts and product enhancements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Basic knowledge of standard engineering practices (electrical and mechanical)
- Basic knowledge of the principles of transformers (preferred)
- Ability to convert math and engineering rules into Excel formulas
- Basic knowledge of programming (VBA, VB.net, or C#)
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across different teams and levels of the organization
- Skilled in thinking both logically and creatively to solve complex problems
- Exhibit accurate and quick calculation skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required Education / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- New graduate to 5 year's of experience
