ECS is seeking a Computer Network Architect to work in our Lanham, MD office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

As a Computer Network Architect Responsibilities:
Perform basic troubleshooting and MACD (move, add, change, delete) work in network devices
Monitor network traffic for anomalies and bottlenecks
Perform ad hoc projects support, analysis, and reporting as needed
Hands-on involvement with installation, management, and support for wired and wireless network environments
Participate in troubleshoot sessions for network-related issues
Provide documentation including network diagrams
Ability to communicate (verbal and written) technical information to both technical and non-technical members
Implement and operate diagnostics and monitoring tools to understand, assess, and modify system behavior and performance
Participate in performance, load, and stress testing, and remediation of issues identified
Participate in security architecture reviews
Participate in efforts to develop new systems and upgrades and updates to existing systems, throughout the entire application lifecycle: requirements analysis & definition, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and sustainment
Follow ITIL based change management processes to move solutions from Dev to Test and into Production
Salary Range: $146,000 - $163,000

10+ years support in Network and IT Security
Experience managing and supporting enterprise network environments comprised of Windows and Linux in both on-prem and cloud platforms
Comprehensive understanding of network services and networks such as TCP/IP and OSPF.
In-depth understanding and practical knowledge of layer 2/3 technologies: VLAN, STP, CDP, LLDP, ARP, BPDU, NTP, NAT, AAA, VTP, VPC, 802.1X, etc.
Experience with building and troubleshooting IPSec/SSL VPN technologies
Basic understanding of OCSP, CRL, and certificate-based authentication
Security+ or equivalent
CCNP or equivalent
Education: Masters Degree
