The Consolidations Manager oversees the intercompany and consolidation processes for Quanex. This role is responsible for end-to-end process of Intercompany Accounting such as, reviewing and verifying intercompany transactions, reviewing and resolving out of balance/intercompany reconciling items, and Intercompany account settlement. Handles multiple sites and complex transaction flows.

What Success Looks Like:
- Conducts accounting and business research to resolve issues and lead the implementation of new accounting pronouncements when necessary
- Ensures the alignment of our company's accounting policies and procedures with our group's policies.
- Monitors the effectiveness of internal controls and adherence to delegation of authority guidelines, while actively participating in the implementation of new or ongoing internal control initiatives and improvements
- Reviews processes regularly to ensure best practices and effective processes are in place, whilst promoting automation initiatives where benefits outweigh the costs
- Coordinates with subsidiaries on reporting, including wholly owned operations and partially owned subsidiaries
- Prepares monthly consolidation and elimination entries to ensure the completeness and accuracy of all consolidated financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows
- Prepares and presents financial statements and related reports, ensuring all financial reports are delivered in a timely and accurate manner
- Assists with the coordination of annual independent external audits of financial statements under both IFRS and US GAAP
- Participates in monthly balancing of books and account reviews, prepare certain monthly journal entries, and present monthly financial statements
- Supports the interface and mapping database between accounting ERP records and the Group Reporting System (Onestream)
- Maintains and balances consolidation system by inputting and verifying data
- Analyzes data to determine root causes of discrepancies and coordination with other departments to resolve
- Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes
Your Credentials:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of accounting or financial analysis experience
- Demonstrate good understanding of basic accounting practices and financial systems
- SAP or other large ERP system experience Technical accounting research and memo's, ASC 842
- Big 4 or large multinational inhouse experience
- 5+ years experience, ideally closer to 10+
- CPA or in progress
- IFRS & GAAP
