One Tech Engineering is looking for a Construction General Manager located in Fort Myers, Florida. The Construction General Manager will support and grow the Dallas/Ft. Worth location with Client projects within the utilities, earthwork, commercial and industrial construction industry. The Construction General Manager will lead and facilitator communication and teaming between field operations, work acquisition management, and office administrative support group to successfully complete construction projects.
The candidate must be a US Citizen or a green card holder, the position is not eligible for sponsorship. The candidate should have a minimum of 10+ years of related construction management experience.
Local candidates preferred. This is not a remote position.

Construction General Manager Responsibilities:
- Implements corporate Mission to meet the needs of Company Stakeholders including operating profit
- Assumes shared responsibility for safety and quality control policies / procedures to insure compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations
- Lead and facilitator communication and teaming between field operations, work acquisition management, and office administrative support group
- Facilitates proper management of company revenue and cost with the accounting group according to company process and procedure
- Must be an ethical steward of company's safety, profitability, and its high quality image
- Recruits/ hires/ retains/ trains personnel with officer input
- Plans and implements programs to acquire new work
- Prepares studies and analyses new markets and technologies to increase profitability
- Reviews investigations of accidents and injuries and cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence for organization use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations
- Represents the company in community and industry marketing / sales events/ organization events
- Master conflict resolution with officer assistance as may be needed.
- Collects and researches data and uses intuition and experience to complement data
- Designs work flows and procedures and develops project plans
- Coordinates projects, communicates changes and progress
- Completes projects on time and budget; Manages project team activities
- Works within approved budget
- Develops and implements cost saving measures
- Contributes to profits and revenue
- Conserves organizational resources.
Requirements for the Construction General Manager:
- Relevant four year college degree or its equivalent, preferred
- 10-15+ related industry experience: earthwork, utilities, commercial and industrial construction
- Previous estimating experience preferred
- Previous construction management experience
- Inspires and motivates others to perform well
- Effective influence of actions and opinions of others.
- Must be able to travel daily in state and periodically out of state
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Knowledge of Database software, project management software and estimating software
- MS Office program skills and knowledge
- Valid drivers' license
- Multi-lingual preferred (Spanish).
