The Construction Manager is responsible for engagement with franchisees, architects, contractors and Scooter's Corporate to provide key support to ensure stores are built effectively, efficiently, and within budget. Key responsibilities will include interpreting blueprints, monitoring project timelines, monitoring project specifications and creating relationships with the support networks. The Construction Manager must have working knowledge of construction documents, methodologies and procedures and be able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The Construction Manager must also have demonstrated experience consulting with franchisees throughout the construction process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Consult with and advise franchisees throughout the construction process including:
- Manage the qualifying and bidding process for General Contractors to achieve competitive pricing
- Develop construction and vendor delivery and installation schedules
- Analyze all bids and pricing for all contracts and purchasing decisions
- Manage the submittal and receipt of all building and health permits and approvals necessary
- Construction Management- coordinate all key activities with the General Contractor and Vendors, assist in managing critical events from project start up through punch list completion and transition to operations
- Weekly reporting including schedule update, utility updates, OSI updates, etc.
- Provide support & guidance to franchisees, architects, and contractors throughout construction process
- Partner with subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely completion and adherence to contractual requirements
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, sketches, and work orders
- Coordinate internal resources and others for support of store buildouts
- Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution
- High proficiency within Smartsheets project management software is a plus.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Construction Project Management
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field, preferred?m
- Familiarity with all construction documents, including drawings, submittals, permits, safety regulations, change orders, RFIs, ASIs, etc.
- Thorough knowledge of all standard commercial construction trades
- Experience utilizing Bluebeam or a similar platform preferred
- Must be able to work independently without direct supervision
- Demonstrated organization and project management skills
- Strong attention to detail within a fast-paced environment
- High level of professionalism and strong work ethic
- Ability to travel nationally, approximately 60% of the time
