DESCRIPTION
Michael Baker International is seeking a Field Construction Manager/Construction Scheduler to join our Baltimore, MD team. Under general supervision, the successful candidate will endeavor, plan, direct, oversee, and coordinate activities of the designated project to ensure that the goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe and funding parameters. The ideal candidate will have a diverse background in providing Construction Management and CPM scheduling services to a variety of clients. Responsibilities of the position may include:

The approximate compensation range for this position is $98,537- to $142,279 annually. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.

DESCRIPTION
Michael Baker International is seeking a Field Construction Manager/Construction Scheduler to join our Baltimore, MD team. Under general supervision, the successful candidate will endeavor, plan, direct, oversee, and coordinate activities of the designated project to ensure that the goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe and funding parameters. The ideal candidate will have a diverse background in providing Construction Management and CPM scheduling services to a variety of clients. Responsibilities of the position may include:
- Assist with/perform preconstruction activities, estimating, constructability reviews, and value engineering efforts
- Evaluate specifications to plan procedures, starting and completion times, and staffing requirements for each phase of construction
- Assembles members of organizations (supervisory, clerical, engineering, technical, field, and other workers) during projects
- Develop an oversight budget and staffing plan for the construction oversight activities
- Review, manage, and maintain construction phase functions such as, but not limited to: project schedules, project budgets, submittals, RFIs, pay applications, various contractor-provided certifications and disadvantaged business enterprises
- Facilitate the review and analysis of project schedules utilizing Primavera P6 or similar program.
- Evaluate Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) and Time Extension Requests.
- Review and interpret baseline and execution schedules, including monthly updates.
- Review critical path logic networks, near critical path activities, and bar charts.
- Conduct critical path and float analysis, generating corresponding reports.
- Communicate schedule status and approval recommendation to project management and clients.
- Coordinate with contractors to resolve schedule maintenance issues
- Oversee construction acceptance procedures and construction progress along with approving contractor invoices
- Coordinates with stakeholders and subconsultants to engage in planning and execution of oversight procedures, interpreting specifications, and executing correspondence with the contractor
- Verify and prepare appropriate project documentation including correspondence with the contractor and owner
- Leads regularly scheduled Project Control Meetings with the contractor and owner
- Oversees work in progress to ensure that workmanship, conforms with specifications and plans, adherence to schedule
- Prepares or reviews reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports
- Verifies construction activities within federal, state, and local rules and regulations
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
- Occasional to moderate travel may be required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field required.
- 8+ years of construction management or project management experience or other related experience within construction projects
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and management principles
- Knowledge and experience with Primavera P6 and Excel.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Bluebeam software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Individual contributor role.
