We are looking for a seasoned leader to manage a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) team based in Milwaukee, WI. This role involves overseeing the complete project lifecycle, supervising field and lab teams, ensuring high-quality standards, and driving business growth within the construction materials sector.
Key Responsibilities
Manage field service engineering projects and laboratory operations from start to finish.
Lead a team of engineers, project managers, and technicians specializing in construction materials testing.
Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality control, and best practices in CMT.
Conduct technical reviews for proposals, reports, and engineering calculations.
Oversee budget, forecasting, and financial performance for the department.
Develop team goals and provide training to enhance staff skills.
Support business development through networking, client engagement, and community involvement.
Promote a positive team culture, strong company values, and high employee engagement.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program is preferred.
6-8 years of relevant engineering experience, including lab testing, construction site observation, field quality assurance, and supervision of CMT projects.
Must be a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
Strong leadership, communication, and project management capabilities.
In-depth understanding of construction materials testing procedures and industry specifications.
Proven track record in budget management, forecasting, and financial oversight.
