This position assists and supports the Project Controls functions of planning, scheduling, cost management, progress and performance analysis and reporting, as required, to meet the project scope and job requirements. It focuses on construction progress reporting. The position relies primarily on established policies, procedures, and applicable work practices to make decisions as they apply to the job duties and responsibilities.
Use the Work Breakdown Structure and help to develop Project Coding Structures for collection and control of data for cost, scheduling, and progress reporting
Record purchase orders, subcontracts, change orders, amendments, and other adjustments
Collect, review and report construction progress for compliance with rules of credit and coding requirements and commitment detail for construction contracts
Interface with internal Client and other company personnel, as required
Provide data input to cost, schedule, and progress reporting systems
Prepare presentations for project reviews, client reviews, management reviews, etc.
Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed
Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements
Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eight (8) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Preferred Qualifications
Possess practical experience in the use of the construction earned value measurement systems related to construction progress
May need to travel internationally for project assignments and in support of business related matters
Working Conditions:
Various levels of environmental conditions including but not limited to project worksites and vendor/client facilities which may have temporary office space, moving mechanical parts and vibration; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and extreme temperatures and high noise levels.
Position with entail working at the project site:
o Well established project site with highway access
o Operated with high HSE standards
o Located in southcentral BC, approximately 75 km southwest of Kamloops and 15 km west of Logan Lake
