Job Description
A Construction Support Engineer V plans and performs work requiring sound engineering judgment in the evaluation, organization, and execution of assignments. As a fully competent Construction Support Engineer, applies diversified knowledge of construction and technical principles, practices, and methods for a range of assignments requiring knowledge and experience with advanced methods, techniques, and procedures. May implement and execute Construction support activities on large to mega sized projects worldwide. On the largest projects the Construction Support Engineer V may function as the "lead" for construction support activities. This position has developed a working knowledge in one or more specific construction disciplines.
Develop methods, techniques, and procedures for the implementation and trouble shooting of special construction discipline work processes
Support projects that are located in the office and in the field
Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
Organize and prioritize a variety of assignments and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements
Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and twelve (12) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to, coworkers, management, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Preferred Qualifications
Possess problem solving, organizational, and conflict resolution skills
Through understanding of construction operations and support functions
Ability to collaborate and adapt to changing conditions
Capable of performing constructability assignments in the office(s) and/or at the site
Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, email, spreadsheets, and electronic presentations

Proof of US Citizenship is required
Typically direct and responsible for all staff assigned to the project(s) through direct reports typically consisting of managers and supervisors heading up the various functions (i.e., Safety Manager, Quality Manager, Construction Manager/Superintendents, Site Services Manager, Engineering Manager, Contracts Manager, and others as appropriate for the project(s))
Typically serve as lead person to coordinate all activities and communication within the site/project areas as well as between those areas and other offices and locations
Coordinate and implement indirect activities, internal and external, required to support a productive project execution; including functional staff support, support craft activities, and any other resource necessary to assure a safe and quality project execution
Generally responsible to assure all work undertaken is within approved scope boundaries and is in full compliance with all pertinent requirements
Responsibility typically includes serving as the single point of accountability to senior management, the client, and the community
