As a Product Manager in the Debit Card Product, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.

You will need to use data to create key insights and drive tangible progress on initiatives to explore revenue opportunities and improve the customer experience. Your work will require critical thinking, organization, attention to detail, and a relationship-first approach as you will be collaborating across many teams, including Product, Payments, Marketing, Finance, Chase Offers, Segments, and Data & Analytics.

Job responsibilities:
  • Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
  • Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
  • Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
  • Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
  • Brings an entrepreneurial and self-starter attitude as there are many uncharted debit opportunities to explore
  • Provides strategic thought to develop and prioritize the most critical initiatives to grow revenue and solve customer pain points
  • Leads initiatives supporting Debit, including effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop workplans to test/evaluate solutions
  • Measures the success of initiatives and helps implement strategies that support target OKRs (objectives & key results)
  • Partners with Analytics, Marketing, and Finance to provide thoughtful recommendations and understand and articulate potential benefits
  • Navigates a highly matrixed organization, influences partners, builds consensus, and works across various functional departments (e.g., agile products)
  • Acts as a thought leader, presenting and discussing ideas with intent to persuade, educate, and enhance understanding across all levels of the organization

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:
  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management, strategy, or a relevant domain area
  • Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, and strategic development
  • Customer-centric and familiar or quickly becomes familiar with the needs of segments and how they fit into debit journeys
  • An excellent partner who leads through strong collaboration
  • Focused on driving quantifiable business results
  • Vigorous and thorough in their management of details
  • Loves experimenting, learning, and taking calculated risks based on data
  • Constantly pushes boundaries of "what could be" to drive innovation
  • Always focuses on the big picture, considering impacts outside their given initiatives

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities:
  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
  • Proven ability to lead an initiative, influence others, and achieve results without direct supervision over resources
  • Develops strong partnerships; recognized as a team player
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills with an excellent ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously within tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
