WHO YOU ARE

Product Managers at The AMES Companies drive the development and success of our product portfolios. Focusing on our Home Organization channel (to include ready to assemble closet, garage and general living organization products and professionally installed closet and garage organization systems), this position will work closely and strategically with cross-functional teams to understand the needs across all our evolving sales channels to optimize product portfolio performance, increase product velocity and ultimately deliver revenue targets.

Our office is located in Smyrna, Georgia.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape. Use these insights to inform product development and positioning.
  • Product Development: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Project Management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. Ensure all milestones are met and any risks are mitigated promptly.
  • Customer Focus: Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring that their needs and feedback are integrated into the product development process. Conduct user testing and gather feedback to continuously improve our products.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze the performance of launched products. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adjustments to optimize product success.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and customers. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across teams.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager in the Consumer Products industry.
  • Strong understanding of product development processes and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Passion for consumer products and a deep understanding of market trends.


CERTIFICATES/LICENSURE

  • PMP Certificate a positive
