WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Key Responsibilities
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement by engaging employees at all levels to drive operational excellence.
- Lead and manage a portfolio of both capital and lean projects focused on cost reduction, material flow optimization, process improvement, and quality enhancement.
- Implement and apply Lean Manufacturing tools such as 5S, Kanban, SMED, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and Kaizen events to streamline operations.
- Develop and execute a Six Sigma program aimed at minimizing process and product variations using tools like Process Capability, Pareto Analysis, Ishikawa Diagrams, and DOE.
- Train, mentor, and coach teams on Lean methodologies, ensuring successful adoption and sustainability of improvements.
- Standardize processes and establish key performance metrics, ensuring best practices are implemented and maintained.
- Set and track annual operational targets and metrics, proactively identifying areas for improvement and developing actionable project plans with clear resources, timelines, and measurable benefits.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2-5 years of demonstrated success leading process improvements and Lean implementations.
- Ability to travel up to 10% as required.
- Strong technical knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, with proven problem-solving, planning, and project management skills.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification (preferred).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage teams at all levels.
- Proven ability to self-manage projects and deliver results on time and within budget.
- Ability to facilitate cross-functional collaboration from project initiation to execution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
- Experience with JD Edwards ERP system (preferred).
