The Wright Site contracting team is seeking to fill a DO-03 Contract Specialist to serve as a non-supervisory Contracting Officer in acquiring prototype development and demonstrations (D2) and experimentation activities in AFRL's classified USSF portfolio. This position requires a high level of experience to provide seasoned business leadership and contracting expertise.

Position duties include, but are not limited to:

• Partnering with organizations such as SSC, STARCOM, SPOC and others.
• Expert maneuvering within significant technical, political, and organizational constraints, challenges, and policies.
• Providing business advice on acquisitions that are highly urgent, complex and technical in scope.
• Executing Contracting Officer duties for pre-award acquisition activities and post-award contract management, as well as mentoring a team of contract specialists and contracting officers.

Required Qualifications

• United States Citizenship
• Males must register for the Selective Service program
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school
• Current TS-SCI security clearance required
• This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program and drug testing may be required
• File annual financial disclosures (OGE 450) to ensure no conflict of interest in the performance of these duties
• One (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade (i.e. DO-02 or equivalent)

Desired Qualifications

• An Unlimited Contracting Warrant is highly desired
• Master's Degree from an accredited school
• Professional Military Education (PME)
