Corvid Technologies is seeking qualified Engineering candidates to join our Contractor Support role with the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). This position will be based in Dahlgren, VA and located at a Government facility. This role will support Hypersonic Weapons and Guided Munitions programs. As a contractor engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting Government and Military personnel, utilizing your expertise in potential areas such as weapons development, system requirements, life cycle engineering, system level integration and testing, system effectiveness, and other technical areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems) or a related field.

Current roles that are available include FPGA Engineer and Data Analyst. Various positions are being onboarded frequently, applicants with any relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Perform analysis and verification/validation of software system design and operational capability utilizing systems engineering software tools
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results
  • Weapons development support through concept development, establishment of performance or functional requirements, technical evaluation of contractor designs, maintenance of weapons and munitions over life cycle, testing, and validation
  • Understanding modeling and simulation frameworks for system effectiveness and performance evaluation
  • Assists in preparation of systems specifications and documentation

Requirements:
  • BS degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 6 years technical experience and 4 years of specialized experience with Department of Defense or related programs
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills for effective communication and documentation
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to travel as required
  • An active Department of Defense SECRET clearance or above is required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • M.S. degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience developing weapon systems and/or hypersonic vehicles
