Spirit Maine's manufacturing facility has been a leading solutions provider of high temperature materials and composites for more than 50 years, serving the Department of Defense and NASA. The focus in Maine is on multidirectional reinforced Carbon/Carbon (C/C) and Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMCs) that enable high-temperature components such as: thermal protection systems, re-entry vehicle nose tips as well as rocket motor throats and nozzles.
Our materials are being used on ground-breaking space initiatives such as the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle and the heat shield for NASA's Mars 2020 mission, important missile programs, airfoils in commercial and military jet engines, and as lightweight armor for U.S. military ground vehicles.
Your role: As the Contract Administrator, you will be working in a contributor-level position responsible for performing contracting assignments in support of pursuing new business, executing on existing business, back office and support tasks, and ensuring record keeping and audit readiness of all related tasks.

Job Responsibilities:
- Analyzes terms and conditions in solicitations and orders to identify business risk; performs detailed review of firm fixed-price or similar contracts
- Assures that the contract documents and purchase orders match the terms of negotiated agreements
- Represents the company in significant contractual communications with the customer, both written and oral
- Issue Contract Work Authorization of expenditure of funds for contracts or orders and maintains all changes or modifications
- Manage compliance activities throughout the performance of an order
- Monitors funding and delivery status during term of agreement
- Maintains official records file as required by company policy, contract terms, FAR and other Government regulations or law such as export compliance in accordance with ITAR and EAR
- Performs other associated departmental duties as assigned, including but not limited to departmental policy development, department representation on committees and for implementation of tools and solutions, recommendations for improvement and contractual presentations
- Expected to participate in Lean activities
- Expected to maintain all housekeeping items and follow all housekeeping procedures
- Expected to follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
What we need from you:
- 4 year college degree in business administration, finance, or related field
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Written and Verbal Communication Proficiency
- Demonstrated Teamwork and Collaboration Skills
- Demonstrated Technical Capacity in Contracts-related Regulatory Environments
- Commitment to Thoroughness and Attention to Detail
- Outstanding Decision Making and Professional Judgment
- Sound Understanding of Contracts and Business Accounting / Finance
- Excellent Problem Solving and Time Management Skills
