You are part of a team of business impact partners located all around the world providing professional contracts support to a Sourcing organization responsible for the procurement of $6B of product annually.

As a Contracts Lead here at Honeywell, you will handle all facets of procurement contract formation and management, including drafting, interpretation, negotiation, review, and administration. In this role, you will significantly impact Honeywell's contract management function and overall business operations by ensuring Honeywell's policies and procedures are followed and adhering to the highest ethical standards. By effectively managing and overseeing the execution of contracts, you will actively protect Honeywell's interests by ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements as well as continuously mitigating risk. You will report directly to our Senior Contracts Manager working out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Negotiate contract terms - Negotiates the "legal" terms within supplier agreements and advises the Sourcing professional with respect to negotiating the "business" terms.
  • Within the parameters of authority granted by Honeywell's Legal Department, draft simple and complex sourcing documents, including, but not limited to, supplier agreements, amendments, letters, notices, responses, and contract clauses.
  • Provide independent analysis to Sourcing, Procurement and internal stakeholders of contractual rights and obligations.
  • Contribute to the development of strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring provision of top-class service and high customer satisfaction.
  • Focus on the continual improvement in the speed, quality, and simplicity of contract formation and management processes, without compromising compliance.
  • Lead initiatives, as required, to transform and enhance the business and process capabilities of the Procurement Contracts Center of Excellence.
  • Mentor junior members of the team and Sourcing customers with respect to proper contract negotiation and administration principles.
  • Conduct business with the highest ethical standards, internal company policies, and local and international laws.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • 3-5 years of experience managing/negotiating contracts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

WE VALUE

  • Advanced ability to analyze, draft, and negotiate complex agreements
  • Ability to research and analyze complex issues
  • Commercial contracting and procurement experience including Intellectual Property, Export Control, and Uniform Commercial Code requirements desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of procurement contract administration including legal, procurement, accounting requirements, and international contracting laws desirable
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, leadership and initiative with results in dynamic environments to include working in virtual team and virtual situations
  • Strong organization and project management skills.
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions.
  • Specific experience in creating and advising clients on the creation of negotiation strategies for negotiating procurement contracts.
  • Ability to work in a very fast-paced and high-stress environment
  • Ability to manage multiple competing tasks and priorities through effective prioritization and communication.

  • Demonstrated leadership with results in Procurement-related areas.
