About the position

As a Contracts Manager, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing Sectra's contracts, ensuring they are fair, legally compliant, and align with company objectives. You will collaborate with internal teams, outsourced legal counsel, and customers to negotiate and manage contracts efficiently while mitigating risks. This position is ideal for someone with a strong legal and contracts management background who thrives in a collaborative and dynamic environment. This position is based in our Shelton, CT office.

As a Contracts Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Sectra's products, services, and future offerings
  • Review contracts to ensure they are fair, reasonable, and minimize identified risks while aligning with legal best practices
  • Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders within the Sectra Executive Team during contract negotiations
  • Liaise with Sectra's outsourced legal team for guidance and opinions when necessary
  • Own the contracting process, including maintaining documentation, version control, and tracking milestones
  • Serve as a point of contact for all contract documents and redlines, ensuring exclusive submission to the customer by the Contract Manager
  • Participate in contracting and negotiation meetings, representing Sectra's interests
  • Manage the lifecycle of framework agreements and standard contracts, ensuring they remain valid and up-to-date
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and senior leadership to align on strategic contract priorities
  • Drive process improvements and implement best practices in contract lifecycle management (CLM)
  • Maintain full documentation and audit trails for all contract activities

As a Contracts Manager, the following requirements apply:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; paralegal certification or legal education is a strong advantage
  • 5+ years of experience in contract management, legal, or related fields
  • Knowledge of contract law, legal best practices, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Proficiency in managing contract lifecycle processes, including version control and stakeholder coordination
  • Experience in negotiating contracts in a professional capacity
  • Ability to work out of our Shelton, CT office
  • Ability to travel as required (up to 25%)


Preferred experience, not required:
  • Familiarity with contract management systems (CLM tools)
  • Background in healthcare IT or medical technology industries
  • Knowledge of cloud-based contract solutions
  • Experience working with international teams or organizations

The salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $130,000, based on experience and qualifications.
