POSITION SUMMARY:
The Contract Specialist will develop, coordinate, and administer contracts for products and/or services for Primoris Renewables. They negotiate, extend, and renegotiate contracts as appropriate. They serve as a primary point of liaison with subcontractors and monitor existing contracts for compliance with terms and conditions.

The Contract Specialist will develop, coordinate, and administer contracts for products and/or services for Primoris Renewables. They negotiate, extend, and renegotiate contracts as appropriate. They serve as a primary point of liaison with subcontractors and monitor existing contracts for compliance with terms and conditions.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Negotiate, establish, and administer contractual arrangements for various subcontract services.
- Evaluate or monitor contractor performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations.
- Analyze and approve or reject internal and/or contractor requests for deviations from contract specifications and delivery schedules.
- Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine reasonableness of prices; review and interpret contract provisions to achieve cost efficiencies and reductions where feasible.
- Assesses contractor service value and product/service reliability relative to cost; plan, organize, and coordinate acquisition alternatives, as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary liaison with contracting representatives to ensure compliance with contract specifications and resolution of problems and issues, as they arise.
- Monitor and evaluate contractor performance against contract specifications and recommend appropriate remedial action as necessary.
- May assist and/or provide input into the formulation, development, and/or revision of operating policies, procedures, and strategies for the organization, as appropriate.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- BS degree in business administration or equivalent.
- Experience in solar, power generation or construction required.
- 4+ years of experience in Procurement.
- 3+ years of experience negotiating contracts.
- Experience in Microsoft (Word, Excel, etc.) is required.
- Experience and skill with SAP & Viewpoint preferred.
- Proficient in development and adherence to procurement procedures and plans.
- Multi-task and provide support to multiple internal clients daily.
- Ability to travel as needed (approximately 5-10%).

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Knowledge of contract documents and specifications.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Knowledge of procurement rules and regulations.
- Ability to make procedural decisions and judgments.
- Ability to benchmark suppliers, evaluate proposals and present findings to management.
- Organizational and coordination skills.
- Skilled in the negotiation and establishment of contractual arrangements for goods and services.
- Knowledge of contractor compliance issues and procedures, as applicable to a public institution.
- Ability to assess contract compliance and product/service quality.
- Ability to travel as needed (approximately 5-10%).
