The Senior Control Validation Security Specialist will perform all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. Serving as s a trusted advisor, personnel will provide technical support in the areas of vulnerability assessment, risk assessment, network security, and security implementation. Successful candidates will have prior experience conducting cybersecurity control validation exercises on classified and unclassified networks, applications, and systems to validate the effectiveness of current security measures.

Experience
- 3 years of experience working with DOD1 8500.2 or NIST SP 800-53, and understand the principles of the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- 3 years of experience with eMASS
- 4 years OT experience
- DLA IT/OT experience (Preferred)
- Strong knowledge of NIST 800-82 Rev 2, and Purdue Model
Skills, Certs and Clearance
- Possesses a certification meeting the DOD 8570.01 IAM level III upon assignment.
- Proficiency in basic analytical software such as Microsoft Excel and Access, proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, to include Word, PowerPoint
- Strong skills implementing and configuring networks and network components
- Must have DHS ICS 301/301V or 401/401V certificates
- Required to possess a DOD SECRET Clearance, and be eligible for an IT-II upon assignment.
