POSITION SUMMARY:
The Controller, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer,will play a pivotal role in leading, and managing all daily accounting and financial operations in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. This role requires a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and compliance, along with excellent leadership and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have medical device experience, be a CPA and have public company experience. The responsibilities of this role include accounting, financial reporting, analysis, driving efficiencies and process improvements, compliance, completion of annual audits and tax preparation and cash flow management. The Controller will also be integral in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
The Controller will partner with senior leadership to foster and maintain a strong financial culture across the organization. Specifically, the role is responsible for:
- Oversee the financial operations of the Company, including Billing, A/R, A/P, Payroll and Accounting/Financial Reporting
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and maintain/improve financial controls.
- Prepare and present financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Monitor and strengthen internal controls
- Work with and manage external auditors and oversee financial tax filings
- Lead and manage the accounting team
- Compile and communicate executive summaries and key financial metrics
- Cash flow management
- Participate in the development of the company's strategic plans and budgeting process
- Investor relations
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Strong understanding of U.S. Regulatory and U.S. GAAP requirements.
- Attention to detail and deadline oriented.
- Ability to explain financial implications to operating management and assist in developing improvements to financial performance.
- A self-starter, proactive team player with a passion to consistently deliver high quality service and exceed stakeholder expectations.
- Thrives under pressure in fast-paced environments and is willing to roll up their sleeves.
- Ability to lead, coach, develop and promote talent with proven experience managing and mentoring a team

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; expert in Excel and PowerPoint, NetSuite, Salesforce
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
- GAAP knowledge, CPA required; experience in public accounting preferred.
- 5+ years of financial accounting experience.
- Experience with medical devices and manufacturing.
- 10+ years of experience in a progressively advanced accounting role preferred.
