Essential duties & responsibilities:

  • Maintain processes & procedures to produce accurate and timely financial statements and related financial reports.
  • Prepare monthly & quarterly financial reporting packages.
  • Manage the monthly closing process to ensure accurate, timely and comprehensive financial results.
  • Prepare timely preliminary monthly financial analysis to identify issues for correction.
  • Prepare account reconciliations ensuring accuracy & timeliness.
  • Prepare journal entries, research chargebacks, intercompany and other cost sharing agreements.
  • Maintenance of GL allocations, A/P and prepaid expense coding.
  • Prepare GL Account Reconciliations
  • Research Financial variances to budgeted expenses.
  • Provide NY corporate office accounting analytics support on a quarterly basis.
  • Provide Assist with the audit & tax work requested by the corporate office.
  • Annual budget preparation, maintaining key support schedules.
  • Manage multiple QuickBooks company files
  • Process accounts receivable and payable and their respective schedules.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications/Knowledge Base:

  • Ability to accomplish goals while meeting deadlines
  • Strong accounting background and highly skilled in reconciliation process
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to take on tasks with limited guidance
  • Must be able to manage projects efficiently and effectively, as well as, meet set deadlines
  • Must be proficient in Excel, Word, QuickBooks and be able to adapt to/understand various accounting systems
  • Possess good analytical skills, problem solving skills, and good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic


Desired Skills/Qualifications

This position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or related field and/or minimum of eight years' experience in accounting and finance. The position requires strong expertise with QuickBooks and other types of accounting software, and Microsoft software including Word, and advanced Excel skills preferred. Solid written and verbal communication skills, ability to pay attention to detail, work on multiple assignments, consistently meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality. Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to working with a diverse staff are essential to successfully carry out the duties of this position. Ideal candidates will have some audit and strong data manipulation experience.

Pay Rate: negotiable depending on prior experience
