Position Summary:
This position is responsible for directing and analyzing the financial activities of the Accurate Specialties, Inc. division of Fisher Barton. As a Controller, you will provide leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and scalability in line with company vision and values. This role establishes plans and strategies for the best use of Fisher Barton human, physical and financial resources, with the ability to foresee, analyze and correct potential problems before they arise.

- Manages all finance and accounting activities for the Business Unit (BU).
- Coordinates and directs the preparation of the financial budget and financial forecasts and report variances for the BU.
- Prepares and publishes timely monthly financial statements for the BU.
- Analyzes information affecting financial and accounting operations and provides recommendations for guidance of management for the BU.
- Provides financial support to business projects and processes for improving operational effectiveness and profitability.
- Participates as a strategic partner in the development of the business unit strategy, objectives and plans for the business unit.
- Working with the CFO and Corporate Controller, helps establishes financial objectives and policies for organization.
- Works closely with Sales and Operations to help build a Sales forecast and capacity plan for SIOP for the BU.
- Involved in financial audits of their BU by collecting data and collaborating with external auditors.
- Leads 80/20 activities aimed at increasing profitability and reducing cost. Champions cost improvement and lean activities throughout the organization.
- Prepares the monthly operations review packet.
- Presents monthly financials at monthly Executive Leadership Team(ELT) report out.
- Review all Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs) for accuracy and any ROI calculations
- Works closely with operations managers during monthly inventories to address any variances, or issues that may come arise. Ensures use of best practice inventory management practices.
- Responsible for costing standards, as well as interim reviews as needed.
- Performs other ad hoc financials analysis as required by corporate finance.
- Provide leadership and support to direct reports.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business/Accounting
- inimum of 5 years business/financial leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook & Power Point
- Expert skill in Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Computer skills (Visual, Word, Epicor and Longview preferred)
