Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Plant Controller to be a key financial leader at our Pasadena, TX facility. This role will work on-site five days per week and serve as a strategic partner to the Plant Manager, driving financial accountability, operational efficiency, and inventory control. The Plant Controller will play a critical role in analyzing plant performance, developing key financial metrics, and working cross-functionally to improve productivity and profitability.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance or cost accounting in a manufacturing plant or facility
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, cost accounting, and inventory management.
  • Ability to develop and implement KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, financial modeling, and Microsoft Excel.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Financial Leadership & Accountability
    • Partner with the Plant Manager to ensure financial discipline and operational efficiency.
    • Establish KPIs and financial metrics to improve visibility into plant performance.
    • Provide financial insights to help drive cost reductions, efficiency improvements, and overall profitability.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting
    • Analyze plant financial results and report to management on key performance trends.
    • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews for the plant.
    • Develop and refine forecasting models to predict full-year performance.
  • Operational & Supply Chain Collaboration
    • Work closely with the Plant Manager and others in the Finance and Supply Chain teams to improve plant productivity and optimize costs.
    • Partner with the management team to enhance decision-making with financial data.
    • Implement best practices for budgeting, cost control, and variance analysis.
  • Inventory & Cost Control
    • Drive inventory accuracy and control processes within the plant.
    • Ensure proper valuation and management of inventory to prevent shrinkage and excess inventory purchases.
    • Collaborate with the warehouse and production teams to enhance material flow and cost efficiency.
