Role Overview
The Financial Controller will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and job costing. This role ensures compliance with GAAP, SOX, and industry regulations, optimizes financial processes, and provides strategic insights to executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Oversight - Manage AR, AP, Payroll, and Service functions while enforcing strong internal controls.
Financial Planning & Reporting - Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to drive profitability.
Job Costing & Compliance - Monitor cash flow, contracts, and percentage-of-completion accounting.
Payroll & Operations Leadership - Ensure timely payroll processing and debt management.
Strategic Leadership - Provide financial insights to support business growth.
Audit & Compliance - Coordinate with internal/external auditors for tax and financial reporting.
Team Development - Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure efficiency and accountability.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of financial management experience (construction or publicly traded industry preferred).
CPA, CMA, or CCIFP preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and ERP systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting software.
