As our Controller, you'll be a pivotal leader within our Finance Team, driving and executing all general accounting functions and directly contributing to our continued success. You'll play a crucial role in scaling our financial operations and bring your expertise to the forefront, overseeing daily financial activities and leading the accounting close and financial reporting processes. You'll gain a valuable perspective in this role, directly engaging with executive leadership and collaborating company-wide with all departments.

What you'll be doing
- Lead and manage the daily operations of all accounting functions, including revenue and receivables, expenses and payables, banking and cash management, and other related areas.
- Manage the monthly financial close, ensuring the completion of all necessary journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations. Ensure accurate financial transaction assignments for reliable financial reporting.
- Generate monthly financial reports, including the balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flow, and summary of key financial performance indicators for the company and all departments.
- Perform a detailed monthly financial analysis of company performance, identifying key trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage company cash flow and prepare cash flow projections.
- Assist VP of Finance with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Build positive working relationships and collaborate cross-functionally with all departments, offering financial expertise, insights, and support.
- Be the "go-to" finance and accounting expert for the company to help develop financial literacy at all levels of the organization.
- Stay current with GAAP and applicable tax laws, ensuring compliance in all financial activities.
- Perform administrator tasks for accounting software, NetSuite, ensuring integrations and automations are maintained and working properly.
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all filing requirements. Support tax planning throughout the year and the accurate and timely filing of the annual corporate tax returns.
- Maintain Finance Policies and Procedures, and ensure adequate internal controls are in place and operating effectively across all financial processes.

What you'll bring to the table:

- You are legally authorized to live and work in the United States without present or future need for sponsorship.
- You have prior experience as a Controller
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred, but not required
- Your communication skills are unrivaled (perhaps shadowed only by your affinity for numbers)
- You can work gracefully under tight deadlines, and meet them without breaking a sweat
- You shine working independently as well as closely and collaboratively with a team-being an all-star player means leveraging your team when needed, after all
- As the company's "go-to" finance and accounting expert, you have an affinity and show a willingness to help others in the company understand our finances and how they impact success.
- You bring a laser focus to the details, ensuring accuracy and reliability that others can count on-you're that dependable
- You're always digging into the "why" behind the numbers. You can sift through complex information, identify key trends, and provide clear, actionable insights-you're the one who makes sense of it all.
- You have a comprehensive understanding of GAAP that you demonstrate through application in your work
- You have strong leadership and decision-making ability, including professional confidence, integrity, and sound judgment
- You have solid technical skills; this includes the ability to learn new software programs, create and manipulate reports, and perform database maintenance
What would make us drool:
- 5+ years of experience as a Controller
- Prior experience leading and supervising a team
- CPA or CMA
- Huge props for experience with G-suite, NetSuite, Rippling, and Stripe

Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $99,000-121,000
