As a Controller at Join Parachute, you will lead our accounting team and help scale our financial operations. This is a high-impact role for someone who's confident in GAAP accounting, experienced in manufacturing, and motivated to build strong, efficient financial systems that support growth.

What You'll Do:
As a Controller at Join Parachute, you will lead our accounting team and help scale our financial operations. This is a high-impact role for someone who's confident in GAAP accounting, experienced in manufacturing, and motivated to build strong, efficient financial systems that support growth.
- Lead and manage all core accounting functions - including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory, and financial reporting.
- Build and mentor a high-performing finance team focused on collaboration, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and GAAP-compliant reporting.
- Strengthen internal controls and drive process improvements across the accounting function.
- Optimize systems and workflows, introducing automation and technology where appropriate.
- Oversee inventory and cost accounting processes with a focus on manufacturing operations.
- Manage the annual audit process and ensure ongoing compliance with financial regulations.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities - and share insights with leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams like Operations and Marketing to align financial and business goals.
- Partner with the leadership team to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning.
Who You Are:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with strong GAAP knowledge.
- Background in manufacturing environments with experience in inventory and cost accounting is a plus.
- Proven leadership experience and a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Familiarity with accounting systems; experience with Microsoft Business Central is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, process-oriented mindset, and sense of ownership.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Demonstrated ability to bring structure and efficiency to fast-paced organizations.
