Renaissance Marine Group is comprised of two brands: Duckworth and Weldcraft. These brands are distributed through approximately 40 independent brand dealers located in the Western US states, Western Canada, and the Great Lakes region of the US. Our Products are designed and built in our 75,000 sq. foot state-of-the-art welded aluminum boat factory using 3-D modeling software.

We're seeking an experienced Controller based in Clarkston, Washington to oversee all financial and accounting activities who has the desire to grow as well as take on greater challenges within the organization. With a manufacturing background, the successful individual will be comfortable working across all aspects of finance including accounting, budgeting and planning, payroll, managerial accounting, ERP integration/build-out, and business analysis. This position is a key business partner, directly reporting to the President/COO.

ACTIVITIES YOU'LL GET TO DO:
  • Participate in the development of and support the company's strategic plans
  • Monitor the financial performance of the company
  • Compile and analyze financial reporting packages
  • Prepare annual operating and capital budgets as well as monthly cash flow forecasts
  • Oversee the daily accounting activities required to maintain RMG's general ledger
  • Assist with continued enhancement of ERP system
  • Help create and integrate accounting processes into ERP system
  • Develop costing methods for manufacturing
  • Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company's procedures
  • Cash management (including placement/movement of funds in various accounts)
  • Communicate financial metrics to senior management
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and hands-on support for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and assistant controller roles
  • Financial planning and analysis, forecasting and data analysis for company expansion
  • Work with ownership on tax strategies, investments, and cash flow
  • Work with the Bryton Marine Group to implement synergy with accounting teams.
  • Assist operations with efficiency monitoring and reporting
  • Senior oversight of all benefits from inception to termination along with reconciling statements for payment. IE: Health, Dental, Vision, Flex Accts, 401K, Life Ins, and ACA
  • Oversight of payroll function


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of five to ten years of accounting or financial management experience in a senior accounting or financial management role
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and how they relate to job costing
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Detailed knowledge of inventory control systems, cycle counts, costing
  • Strong numerical proficiency, organization, good problem-solving skills and excellent use of logic
  • The ideal candidate will have been involved with the implementation of ERP systems
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or related discipline
  • Current CPA license
  • Experience managing people with a focus on teaching, training and cross-training staff to ensure a small accounting team can manage daily responsibilities and respond to ad hoc requests.
