Job Description
Located in Shelbyville-Join a leading global manufacturer of fiberglass insulation and be a part of the Corporate Capital Expenditure team. You will assist with new equipment upgrades and retrofitting legacy facilities, contributing to smarter insulation solutions to improve energy efficiency and create healthier living environments.
Responsibilities
While onsite, the office setting is clean and organized. The manufacturing plants are industrial settings. The Corporate Controls team consists of two other engineers, one full-time and one contractor. Expect to work on average 40-50 hours; M-F 8 AM - 5 PM (some Saturdays may be required). This position requires 30% travel to various locations including but not limited to Michigan, West Virginia, Texas, Alabama, and California. Travel can consist of just a few days or up to a week at a time.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $44.00 - $54.00/hr.

Job Description
Located in Shelbyville-Join a leading global manufacturer of fiberglass insulation and be a part of the Corporate Capital Expenditure team. You will assist with new equipment upgrades and retrofitting legacy facilities, contributing to smarter insulation solutions to improve energy efficiency and create healthier living environments.
Responsibilities
- Perform PLC, HMI, and Drive programming and modifications.
- Manage all large capital projects.
- Oversee new plant projects and upgrade/redesign existing equipment from design/specification through completion.
- Develop scopes of work, request quotes, write purchase orders, coordinate internal and external project team members, monitor and adhere to the budget and timeline.
- Pursue technologies to improve safety, product quality, plant profitability, and operating efficiency by reducing scrap and lowering maintenance costs.
- Coordinate and implement OEM equipment.
- Assist Corporate HSE in developing electrical safety practices.
- Support plant rebuilds as needed.
- Provide additional training and development support for plant Craftsmen, Operators, and Engineers.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- 5+ years of professional controls experience.
- Allen-Bradley PLC programming experience (ability to write new PLC programs from scratch and make modifications).
- Project Management experience (qualify and define project specifications, manage a budget, manage a detailed daily schedule).
- Ability to communicate with internal/external stakeholders.
- Servo Design, Ethernet Networking, Industrial Networking Systems, Electrical Power Design, Electrical Codes.
- Experience with ignition software design.
- Knowledge of electrical/power design (fundamental knowledge of electrical codes).
- Ethernet networking.
