Controls Engineering Analyst:
XL Hybrids seeks an experienced Controls Engineer with JavaScript data analysis skills to help analyze data collected from our vehicles in the field. As a Controls Engineering Analyst at XL Hybrids, you will work as part of a small team to build and maintain rich and responsive applications for internal real-time system using cutting-edge, open-source technology. You should be comfortable quickly bootstrapping your understanding of new tools, technologies and application design techniques as you go and be able to deliver on business requirements accurately without too much oversight. If you are passionate about innovative hybrid-electric systems, software, committed to writing code that is as beautiful as it is bullet-proof, and enjoy Friday afternoon barbeques, then you will feel right at home on our team.
Responsibilities
Get up-to-speed on new technologies and tools quickly and independently.
Work collaboratively with a small, agile team of engineers and stakeholders.
Develop automated unit and integration tests as part of code delivery.
Candidate will report to the Control Systems Engineering Manager
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience Software development C, C++, Java, Javascript applications that support multiple, complex activities.
Experience with modern, post-JQuery JavaScript UI frameworks and development practices.
Understanding of Engineering analysis techniques and mathematics/statistics and pattern matching.
4-year degree or equivalent experience.
Must be able to work full time in XL Hybrids' Boston office Preferred Qualifications
Modeling and Understanding of electro-mechanical system, Hybrid-Electric Vehicles a plus.
Experience with CSS preprocessors like SASS or LESS.
Experience with D3 and Cloud data processing.
Experience with Python and communication protocols (SPI, CAN, 802.11, Bluetooth)
