What You'll Do: This job is onsite/in-office each day. You'll also be responsible for:
- Lead the team in the design and execution of automation systems, ensuring high-quality standards and efficient project completion
- Review and approve PLC programs, HMI configurations, electrical schematics, and other technical deliverables
- Develop and implement department strategies and initiatives to improve engineering processes and team performance
- Provide advanced technical support for complex control system issues, offering guidance to team members
- Act as the point of contact for clients and stakeholders, representing the engineering team in meetings and presentations
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, performance management, coaching, and development of team members
- 30% travel (expected average in a year)
Who You Are:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in automation and controls engineering
- 2+ years of experience managing and leading engineering teams, particularly in automation, controls, or manufacturing
- Expertise in PLC programming, HMI configuration, and electrical schematic review
Additionally, You'll Need TheseTechnical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with SolidWorks PDM (CAD data management) software
- Intermediate experience with Enterprise Resource Management (ERM) software
- Proficient in project management methodologies
- In-depth understanding of ISO 9001 (QMS) and process improvement principles
Added Bonus if You Have:
- Experience in custom automation for DoD projects
- ProjectManagement Professional (PMP) or similar certification

- Base Salary Range:$145,000 - $190,000 (depending on experience)
