Job Description
The Senior Field Application Engineer is responsible for deploying the Distributed Control System (DCS) customer strategy for North America, by supporting the Sales Managers in complex opportunities, creating new pipeline through campaigns and being the commercial focal point of the CSS Americas organization for the DCS Product Line.

The base pay range for this position is $128,000.00 - 213,900.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 20% performance bonus/sales incentive compensation.

Job Description
The Senior Field Application Engineer is responsible for deploying the Distributed Control System (DCS) customer strategy for North America, by supporting the Sales Managers in complex opportunities, creating new pipeline through campaigns and being the commercial focal point of the CSS Americas organization for the DCS Product Line.
What you'll do
- Own the pipeline development and growth plan for enabling future business in North America for the DCS Product Line. Create commercial campaigns and help defining target customer segments, based on the CSS Install Base.
- Provide pre-sales technical and product solution consultation on the DCS Product line, supporting active pipeline opportunities from design to close.
- Provide technical training to the sales team on the DCS application, focusing on enhancing team's technical capabilities and penetrate the DCS segment in North America.
- Act as a liaison with Product Line leadership to remain current on all market trends and anticipate changes in the market including regulations, threats, competitor approaches, etc. and continually educate Regional Teams on market dynamics and solution updates.
- Actively listen, understand, and interpret customers' business goals, operating objectives, and control system risks, and customize GE Vernova CSS solutions to best meet their needs.
- Research and understand competitors' regional value propositions and go to market approaches and support development of winning sales and solutions strategies.
- Support optimal opportunity strategy and execution, including proposal development, delivery, and tracking.
- Support Sales team with technical product solutions, presentations, and demos, with application knowledge in specific opportunities, and participating in site surveys, all related to DCS Solutions
- Determine the appropriate solution scope for opportunities to quote, to support the Sales and Commercial team to generate a competitive proposal.
- Deliver technical project / product presentation in industry forums (SOA/User meeting/Conferences), regional industry/application events.
What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or Technical Discipline from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 15 years' experience in the Power Generation or Energy Industry.
- Minimum of 15 years' experience working with, and knowledge of DCS application for the Power Generation Industry.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in either Sales/Commercial, Application Engineering, Project Management or Customer Service

- Knowledge and ability to navigate into the New Units Power Generation Market.
- Strong Relationship with GE Vernova's New Unit Business Line.
- Deep customer knowledge of the North America Power Generation market, related to new units (either End User or EPCs).
- Provide leadership through the formulation and execution of proposal strategies that capitalize on GE's competitive strengths to serve the customer's needs while meeting GE's business goals.
- Support the maintenance of accurate and current project and opportunity information in Sales Force
