Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required in education, educational leadership, or a related field.
Master's degree preferred in educational leadership, curriculum and instruction, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a campus or district testing coordinator required.
- Experience in managing assessment logistics, compliance, and training preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Texas state assessments and national testing programs.
- Understanding of assessment accommodations for students receiving special education, 504, and emergent bilingual services.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to train and support campus staff in test administration and data use.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in data analysis and the use of assessment-related software.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Work Environment:
- Travel within the district to provide support at campuses as needed.
- Extended hours required during testing windows.
Primary Responsibilities:
State, National, and Local Testing Oversight:
- Serve as the district lead for STAAR, TELPAS, TSI-Accuplacer, SAT, ACT, and Local Assessments.
- Ensure compliance with Texas Education Agency (TEA) guidelines and testing regulations.
- Monitor test administration for adherence to security protocols and ethical standards.
- Serve as the district's main liaison with testing vendors and agencies.
Collaboration for Student Supports:
- Work closely with the Special Education, 504, and Emergent Bilingual departments to ensure students receive appropriate accommodations and supports during testing.
- Coordinate with campus testing coordinators to verify accommodations align with student plans.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding accessibility and accommodations for assessments.
Training and Support:
- Provide training and professional development for campus testing coordinators, administrators, and staff.
- Develop and disseminate district-wide testing manuals, procedures, and calendars.
- Offer real-time support during testing windows, including troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Logistics and Test Administration:
- Oversee the ordering, distribution, and collection of secure testing materials.
- Ensure timely submission and verification of testing accommodations.
- Manage online testing platforms, including TIDE, and ensure readiness for digital assessments.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of assessment results to TEA and other agencies.
- Analyze test results to provide insights that inform instruction and district performance.
- Collaborate with campus and district leaders to use assessment data for school improvement.
- Conduct audits and investigations in response to testing irregularities.
- Maintain documentation and records related to test security and administration.
- Stay informed on policy changes and communicate updates to district leadership.
