Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This class of positions involves responsible, professional and supervisory work, with varying degrees of latitude for independent initiative and decision making, in the development and management of contracts for services and in the procurement of goods, services and/or construction. All work is performed in accordance with agency, city, state and federal requirements and procedures including those of the Procurement Policy Board and the Mayor's Office of Contracts. This title shall not be used to replace the technical functions of engineering, engineering-related, or other titles involved in construction activities.

Under supervision, with some latitude for independent initiative and decision making, assists procurement personnel in purchasing goods, services and/or construction, and/or in processing procurement documents and contracts; confers with, advises and assists operational, technical and professional staff in the procurement process, and manages contracts for services as assigned.
- Reconciles revenue reports on EPIC, Revenue Capture Point Person (RCCP).
-Liaisons with receiving, Purchasing, Finance, and Accounts Payable Departments.
-Receives, stores, maintains stocks, rotates supplies/inventory.
-Coordinates with inpatient unit leads, modality managers, purchasing/acquisition/distribution of storage supplies.
-May assist in budget preparation and/or reviews audit trail reports.
-Attends departmental meetings.
-May collect data and prepare statistics for the department.
-Adheres and conforms to hospital/departmental guidelines, policies, and procedures, infection control policies.
-Assist Office Manager in any aspect based on operational needs.
-Adheres to departmental time and leave standards.
-Monitors and maintains adequate par level on various items through assigned specialty/units.
-Assists in other aspects of the operations team.

Minimum Qualifications
1. A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, Psychology or Rehabilitation Counseling; and
2. Two (2) years of full-time experience in medically-oriented health care and medical support systems environment, one (1) year of which included experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity in such occupations as physical, occupational, inhalation, speech and audiology therapy or as Medical/Laboratory Technologist, Microbiologist (various specialties), Chemist (biochemist), Radiation and X-Ray Technician; or two (2) years of responsible level experience in business management systems or general administration including one (1) year in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or
3. A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines listed in "1" above; and
4. Three (3) years of full-time experience, as described in "2" above, including two (2) years of experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity in occupations, as listed in "2" above; or
5. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.

Note: Certification or licensure may be required.
