Reporting to the VP of Creative Operations and under the creative guidance of the Chief Creative Officer, the Director of Content/Copywriting possesses a distinctive creative perspective. They excel in crafting exceptional strategies and concepts, effortlessly transforming visions into reality across digital and physical environments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the primary client-facing voice, presenting work and building relationships. Deliver new ideas with a clear perspective, promoting progressive creativity. Create, articulate, and pitch creative ideas to clients, effectively conveying both the visual design and the underlying messaging reasoning.
SPECIALITY: CONTENT AND COPYWRITING CONCENTRATION
Responsible for leading integrated content creation efforts, crafting persuasive copy, and developing engaging narratives and scripts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Personnel Management
- Develop and nurture a high-performance team, providing direct management and support to team members.
- Collaborate with the VP of Creative Operations to assign tasks based on team members' skills and availability.
- Mentor Creative team members by clearly communicating responsibilities and facilitating their growth.
- Ensure all members, including ACDs, SADs, and ADs, understand how to assess and enhance their skills.
- Inspire and motivate the Creative team, fostering behavior that retains talent and clients.
- Project Management
- Manage the creative execution of multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaborate with the design team, Chief Creative Officer, and partner departments (Account, Production, Events, and Media).
- Guide the Creative team across multiple accounts and departments, ensuring work surpasses expectations and has measurable impact.
- Maintain high standards, ensuring creative work aligns with client goals, agency standards, and brief strategies within deadlines and budgets.
- Uphold the highest standards for the team, differentiating between high-quality and low-quality work.
- Pay meticulous attention to detail in creative asset execution.
- Interdisciplinary Creative Concepting
- Develop visually and content focused, compelling concepts for various projects, including print, digital, video, podcast, interactive, merchandise, and live/virtual events.
- Facilitate brainstorming sessions and workshops, encouraging innovative ideas from diverse creative disciplines.
- Use a multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving, incorporating insights from different creative domains.
- Communicate creative concepts and strategies effectively to prospects and clients.
- Develop, present, and sell creative concepts to clients, showcasing both visual and messaging rationale.
- Client Leadership
- Interdepartmental and Vendor Collaboration
- Promote a culture of creative excellence by enhancing team communication and refining our processes.
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, ensuring consistent communication and workflow optimization.
- Foster relationships with external partners, ensuring alignment with creative objectives and project expectations.
- Ensure adherence to customer brand standards and guidelines while collaborating effectively with external vendors.
- Actively participate in new business pitches, providing valuable input and creative expertise to the Innovation and Growth (IG) and Events team.
SPECIALITY: CONTENT AND COPYWRITING CONCENTRATION
Responsible for leading integrated content creation efforts, crafting persuasive copy, and developing engaging narratives and scripts.
- Lead the copy, design, tone, and direction of work from concept to execution across a variety of creative disciplines.
- Demonstrate experience creating integrated content across multiple marketing channels.
- Seek out new messaging innovations and technologies to cultivate new concepts.
- Demonstrate an understanding of unique audiences and create content that is relevant to each.
- Craft compelling and persuasive copy that aligns with client goals and brief strategies.
- Develop engaging narratives and messaging strategies for various mediums, ensuring consistency and creativity.
- Serve as the primary client-facing voice for copywriting, presenting work, and building relationships.
- Deliver new copy ideas with a clear perspective, promoting progressive creativity in messaging.
- Write scripts for videos, podcasts, and other multimedia content, ensuring seamless storytelling and engaging narratives.
- Collaborate with design to create detailed storyboards outlining visual elements in alignment with the script for multimedia projects.
- Create, articulate, and pitch script ideas to clients, effectively conveying both the visual design and the underlying messaging reasoning in scripts.
- Collaborate with the design team and other departments to translate scripts into visually compelling multimedia content.
- Help build and manage the Brand Revolution external brand and blog with the IG team.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS + ABILITIES
- 10+ years of related experience with 3+ years of video/film production experience in an agency or corporate setting
- Experience creating marketing/advertising campaigns from developing vision and the messaging platform to overseeing production on time and budget
- Understanding and experience creating integrated content across multiple marketing channels
- Effective oral and written communications skills
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team
- Complete understanding of market trends and creative briefs
- Computer proficiency; solid knowledge of word text programs
EDUCATION + TRAINING
- Bachelor's Degree in Advertising/Marketing, Communications, Writing or related discipline preferred
- Relevant certifications in inbound/outbound marketing, content strategy, branding, or related disciplines preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to sit for long periods of time and look at a computer screen.
