Description

  • Under the general direction of the Vice President Revenue Cycle, the Corporate Director of Clinical Documentation Coding Integrity & Coding will set the vision, strategy and direction of the operational, financial, programmatic, and personnel activities of EHC CDI and Hospital-based and professional-based coding.
  • The Corporate Director ensures that the departmental mission is well defined and communicated to staff, that the key service goals and objectives are set and plans to attain them are established and followed in each of the sections.
  • This individual represents the department in planning efforts involving space, equipment, staff, systems, services, expenses, cost monitoring and control, operational monitoring, regulatory compliance and future programs and services.
  • They are responsible for developing policies, procedures, and workflows while coordinating the activities of CDI and Coding.
  • They foster and promote a culture of excellence in customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Builds trust and collaboration amongst the team by enhancing employee engagement, addressing performance results, and providing coaching and mentoring.
  • While the range of duties of this position are broad, varied and will change over time, the responsibility is directing the day-to-day operations in a manner that supports compliance with State and Federal Guidelines, CMS Medicare Conditions of Participation, AHA Official Coding Guidelines, HIPAA regulations, The Joint Commission, budgeting, financial management and human resource management of EHC Clinical Documentation and Coding Integrity (CDCI) and Coding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring CDI and coding departments function efficiently and effectively
  • Ensuring coding policies are complaint with regulatory guidelines
  • Overseeing the work and KPIs of vendors within the coding environment
  • Maintenance of CDI and coding related software
  • Generate reports to ensure productivity of individuals and the department as a whole
  • Report out KPIs to senior and executive leadership
  • Manually Type in Key Category Here (e.g., Collaboration & Communication, Leadership Mgmt., etc.)

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Information Management, or related field Minimum 10+ years of related experience including 8+ years in management Accredited Record Technician certification required Computer, analytical, excel, reporting skills required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of related experience and 10+ years management experience
