Overview
Abacus Technology is seeking a range of professional staff - managers, auditors/analysts, and support specialists - to execute, sustain, and improve upon its business Ethics and Compliance (E&C) program. Individuals in these positions will work hand-in-hand with corporate executives to maximize overall program effectiveness and responsiveness.
Responsibilities
To lead E&C program efforts with the goal of protecting the firm's credibility by ensuring all business operations are performed in compliance with applicable Federal regulations and contract requirements. Representative responsibilities include:
Qualifications
3-10 years progressive experience in business compliance, risk management, and/or performance auditing; preferably in a Federal support service contracting industry. Bachelor's degree in business management, public administration, industrial engineering, or related field of study. Formal corporate compliance and ethics training, or willingness/capability to obtain such certification in a timely manner. Solid understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and/or Defense FAR (DFAR) along with major Federal government procurement strategies and current contracting standards. Strong oral/written communication as well as collaboration/relationship building skills. Highly organized with advanced time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Superior attention to detail and ability to effectively multi-task with minimal direct supervision. Familiarity and hands-on involvement with ISO process audits and CMMI appraisal functions are a significant plus. Must be a US citizen.

- Operate, maintain, and enhance corporate compliance program consistent with industry best practices and the ethical business standards set forth by Abacus Technology.
- Keep all E&C policies and procedures up-to-date and accessible in a compliance documentation repository for ready reference by all staff members.
- Communicate with/train employees to ensure that they are aware of their corporate code of conduct and business ethics compliance responsibilities.
- Create integrated master schedules and checklists for the continuous tracking of training and certification levels, security clearances and inspections, and property accounts against contract-specific requirements.
- Conduct/oversee compliance audits to determine whether established protocols are being followed and where they can be improved.
- Monitor audit activities, compile/analyze compliance data, and interpret findings/trends to identify potential program weaknesses and shortcomings.
- Address/mitigate any cited noncompliance situations or problem areas, including development of realistic action plans and milestones to resolve them and make all appropriate disclosures.
- Research and remain current on new laws and directives related to the ethical business obligations of federal contractors and update E&C program policies, procedures, and support systems accordingly.
- Respond to employee questions/information requests concerning ethics and compliance, and provide ad hoc support to local site quality managers and auditors in the administration of their assigned E&C program duties.
- Report to senior executives on Abacus' performance record of adherence to corporate compliance metrics and advise on any needed enforcement/improvement actions.
