As McConway is the original designers of the first standard automatic coupler, continued innovation and craftsmanship have and has led to a product line that includes every ARR approved coupler as well as custom coupler solutions, which are all proudly cast in the US.

We are actively seeking a Corporate Controller to support our continued growth! In this position you will be an integral member of the team, helping to develop, execute, and effectively communicate significant analyses that identify meaningful trends and opportunities across the business. You will provide leadership and oversight to the financial reporting and platform consolidation processes for FerroWorks. The position will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will have extensive interaction and partnership with the Chief Executive Officer's team as well as each of the operating companies and private equity personnel. You will lead the entire accounting team including all AR and AP support functions. Additionally, you will be leveraging tools and systems to quickly access data and present meaningful, concise information to various levels of management. In your role you will perform financial reporting, ad-hoc project analyses, and financial modeling using a broad range of tools including

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide strong leadership to the FerroWorks platform companies' accounting, payroll, accounts payable and credit personnel
  • Provide required development and guidance to team in alignment with FerroWorks focus on enriching the employee experience
  • Ability to provide training necessary to understand and implement policies and procedures
  • Serve as the primary technical accounting resource for FerroWorks platform companies, including ownership of the necessary policies and procedures to meet current and upcoming U.S. GAAP requirements
  • Create and provide internal and external reporting financial information for:
  • Monthly and annual platform financial results
  • Ad-hoc management reporting needs
  • Board of Director meetings
  • Provide necessary partnership and execution with internal and external stakeholders on strategic platform initiatives, while providing necessary observations on accounting and financial impact. Specific example of partnership opportunities include:
  • Driving financial planning and analysis processes with our business unit personnel
  • Assist with identification of what the ideal organizational and operational structure is as we continue to grow organically and through acquisition
  • Ownership of annual financial statements and the related audit, including coordination of necessary deliverables and budgeting with external auditors
  • Participate in the implementation of a new ERP system including the corporate financial system
  • Communication with constituents including the PE firm; banks; operating company leadership and consultants
  • Key member of leadership team, with ability to impact structure and operational methods


QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

A successful candidate will effectively have and/or demonstrate the following competencies:
  • Bachelor's or Master's in accounting or finance is required; Active CPA status is preferred.
  • At least 4 years of public accounting experience is preferred, with a combined 7+ years' experience in public accounting and industry experience within accounting, external reporting and/or controllership required in a manufacturing environment.
  • Management of a full accounting function including payroll, AP , AR, Cost accounting and financial reporting.
  • GAAP proficiency Required
  • Oracle or Other ERP experience preferable, and ERP implementation experience highly valued
  • Supervisory Experience with strong communication skills
  • Extensive quantitative and qualitative financial analysis experience
  • Organized and reliable with high attention to detail
  • Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office Suite; Focused expertise on Excel
  • Previous experience in financial statement preparation, budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or equivalent required
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to perform projects with a high degree of detail

  • Experience with income and non-income tax compliance, reporting and/or filing is preferred.
