Job Summary:
The Corporate Controller is responsible for maintaining, controlling, and understanding of the Company's financial statements in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations in addition to U.S. GAAP. The position will also have direct reports and responsibility for all cost and inventory accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
This position is based in Milledgeville, GA and will have financial control and oversight for plants in Milledgeville and La Grange, TX. This position oversees the financial operations of the company including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Job Summary:

This position is based in Milledgeville, GA and will have financial control and oversight for plants in Milledgeville and La Grange, TX. This position oversees the financial operations of the company including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Ensure accurate and timely financial statements (e.g., income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Oversee compliance with GAAP, IFRS, or other accounting standards
- Prepare and present financial reports for senior management, investors, and regulatory agencies
- Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors
Accounting & Internal Controls
- Supervise the accounting department (accounts payable, receivable, payroll, etc.)
- Develop and enforce internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure accuracy
- Implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and oversee financial reconciliations
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Monitor variances between actual and budgeted performance
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making
Cash Management & Treasury Functions
- Oversee cash flow management, liquidity, and working capital
- Manage banking relationships and financing activities
- Ensure proper handling of tax planning and compliance
Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, SEC regulations (if public), and other financial regulations
- Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them
- Support legal and regulatory filings related to finance and accounting
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and mentor the accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Support the CFO in financial strategy, M&A activities, and capital investments
- Improve financial systems, ERP software, and reporting processes
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- 15+ Years of relevant experience in Accounting / Finance with progressively expanding leadership experience, Manufacturing experience preferred.
- BS / MS in Accounting and/or Finance
- Experience with and application of U.S. GAAP
- Previous experience as a Corporate/Manufacturing Controller
- Internal control and accounting policy development and implementation
- Extensive experience supporting management
- Experienced Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant (Preferred)
- Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools, Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP system knowledge (preferred, but not required)
- Computer literacy, MS Excel, Power BI, Microsoft Office (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
