Position: Corporate Estimating Manager
Reports To: SVP of Business Development
Location: Houston, Texas
Salary: $120,000 - $140,000
The Corporate Estimating Manager is responsible for establishing and implementing consistent procedures for all estimators within the department. This role involves managing a team of approximately 8-10 Estimating Engineers, assigning tasks, setting schedules and priorities, and reviewing their work to ensure technical correctness and compliance with company procedures.

The Corporate Estimating Manager is responsible for establishing and implementing consistent procedures for all estimators within the department. This role involves managing a team of approximately 8-10 Estimating Engineers, assigning tasks, setting schedules and priorities, and reviewing their work to ensure technical correctness and compliance with company procedures.
Duties:
- Review and improve existing estimating procedures to ensure departmental consistency.
- Establish and guide the departmental roles and objectives for the Estimating team.
- Assign, schedule, and prioritize workload within the Estimating department.
- Review all technical proposals to ensure design correctness and compliance with estimating procedures.
- Ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with established deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in estimating, with thorough knowledge of ASME Sec VIII Div. 1 and fabrication/estimating methods related to pressure vessel and heat exchanger manufacturing.
- In-depth understanding of materials of construction in ASME Sec. II.
- Basic understanding of thermal processes and familiarity with HTRI.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and specifications.
- Exceptional communication skills, including technical writing.
- Ability to work independently, staying organized while managing both self and others.
- Consistent thought processes and work methodology.
- Technical office setting.
