FUNCTION
Responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with corporate partners to secure funding and support for AFC's mission. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in corporate fundraising, partnership development, and relationship management. The Corporate Partnership Manager will collaborate closely with the Director of Corporate Partnerships to execute fundraising strategies and achieve revenue goals, thereby increasing AFC's capacity for active outreach to new partners while managing inbound partnerships. An understanding of fundraising systems is critical to success in this role.

FUNCTION

The Corporate Partnership Manager will collaborate closely with the Director of Corporate Partnerships to execute fundraising strategies and achieve revenue goals, thereby increasing AFC's capacity for active outreach to new partners while managing inbound partnerships. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
- Corporate Partnership Development:
- Identify, cultivate, and secure partnerships with corporations to support the work of the agency.
- Develop tailored partnership proposals, presentations and partnership summaries to engage corporate partners and secure financial support.
- Negotiate partnership agreements, ensuring mutual benefit and alignment with AFC's strategic priorities.
- Responsible for the development, stewardship, and execution of corporate partnerships under $50,000
- Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate partners contributing under $50,000, fostering strong relationships through regular communication and stewardship.
- Support the Director of Corporate Partnerships in building the relationship management for partners contributing over $100,000, ensuring high-level stewardship and alignment with AFC's goals.
- Support corporate engagement events
- Portfolio Management:
- Manage a portfolio of approximately $1.5-2M, overseeing outreach, pitching, negotiation, execution, stewardship, and renewal of corporate partnerships.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and engagement from existing corporate partners.
- Improvise on standard operating procedures to systematize how corporate relationships are tracked, solicited, stewarded and acknowledged.
- Fundraising and Revenue Generation:
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue from corporate partnerships.
- Meet or exceed annual revenue targets through proactive prospecting and cultivation of new corporate donors.
- Capacity Building:
- Increase AFC's capacity for active outreach to new corporate partners, identifying and engaging potential supporters who align with AFC's mission and values.
- Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with the Director of Corporate Partnerships, Deputy Executive Director of Development and the development team to integrate corporate partnerships into overall fundraising strategies and campaigns.
- Collaborate with programmatic staff to align corporate support with AFC's programs and initiatives.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on partnership activities, renewals, trends, revenue forecasts, and progress towards goals.
- Conduct analysis and evaluation of partnership effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience specifically in nonprofit development with a focus on building and managing corporate partnerships.
- Proven track record of securing significant corporate support and meeting fundraising goals.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with corporate partners.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies.
- Data orientation with experience working with CRMs (NEON preferred)
- Passion for LGBTQ+ rights and youth homelessness issues.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, as needed, for events and donor meetings.
- Knowledge of LGBTQ+ issues and familiarity with the New York City nonprofit landscape is a plus.
