Position Overview

Responsibilities of the position include development and implementation of business strategies to achieving maximum hotel revenue at multiple properties by analyzing data, developing and implementing effective revenue management programs and strategies, including group sales optimization and strategy. The Corporate Revenue Manager will be at the forefront regarding all facets of related technology and should possess a strong understanding of operations and sales. The expectation is that this role understands the businesses at each of our enterprises and supports their leaders and Exec Committees in property-level revenue-generating initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the development and implementation of revenue growth strategies for Grand View Lodge and Tanque Verde Ranch, along with any future assigned properties.
  • Achieve and exceed budgeted targets and revenue goals annually through the successful creation, implementation and ongoing refinement of a revenue management strategy.
  • Analyzes the room type inventory, pricing and IDeaS G3 Revenue Management System for each market segment and distribution channel and make recommendations to property teams.
  • Prepares for and leads weekly revenue meetings for assigned properties. Attends other revenue driving meetings such as Daily Business Reviews and marketing meetings.
  • Develops and implements guidelines for booking business, which maximize the yield received from each type of business.
  • Seeks opportunities to improve results received by utilizing the various tools and programs.
  • Prepares and distributes accurate monthly 90-day forecasts.
  • In collaboration with senior leadership, develop the annual top-line room's budget, including annual and long-range performance targets for transient and group.
  • Collaborate to develop and maintain an electronic distribution strategy to include third party Internet content and positioning, market manager relationships, and GDS distribution.
  • Manages third party revenue generating websites on a regular basis to ensure all transient rates and room types are loaded and accessible to maximum revenue. Regularly review the systems and tools being utilized - and others as technology evolves - for cost-effectiveness and increased optimization.
  • Work cross-functionally and create key relationships with the Reservations Managers, Directors of Sales, Sales and Marketing team, to maximize both transient and group business. Work closely with Reservations team leaders on selling strategies, utilizing key reservations data to help develop strategic direction.
  • Implement a group evaluation process to manage group inventory and rates based on key factors such as rooms/space ratio, pattern, ancillary contribution, etc. for the group sales team to always utilize for a minimum period twenty-four months.
  • Stay highly aware of the big picture and how the properties fit in, avoiding a singular Cote Hospitality-centric view. Constantly seek broader economic insight and regularly benchmark the competitive set in terms of product, location, pricing, service and distribution, making refinements and recommendations to the properties revenue strategy as needed to differentiate and get the "win."
  • Optimize pricing and inventory by tracking consumer demand and market conditions to forge the right business mix. Drive profitability by selling through the right sales channels, including rooms, F&B, group meetings, weddings, other events and more.
  • Work with management on projects as needed; always looking to maximize value and ROI for the Properties.
  • Communicate and work effectively with other key executives across various functional lines to build and maintain productive relationships.
  • Perform all the above in a manner fully aligned with ownership's overall strategic objectives and with the highest standard of excellence and integrity.

Job Requirements:
  • This on-site position is located at our Corporate Offices in Eden Prairie, MN
  • Desire to learn and grow additional skills
  • Collaborative approach to analysis-sharing and strategy development will be a must
  • Travel required up to 50%

Education & Experience:
  • Minimum three (3) years hospitality revenue management experience
  • Independent resort experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong statistical and competitive analysis skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork
  • IDeaS G3 Revenue Management System experience preferred
  • Experience with the below is a plus:
    • Infor HMS (Property Mgmt), Revinate (Reservations & CRM), Infor SCS (Sales/Catering) and/or ProfitSword (forecast/budget)
  • Strong Microsoft Office suite and reporting system skills required
