Corporate Securities Attorney

As a member of our securities law practice you will engage in sophisticated and challenging securities work for clients across the nation. Candidates should have at least 3+ years of experience representing public companies in connection with public and private offerings and their regulatory filings under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. This position will focus on SEC reporting obligations, but our ideal candidate will also have experience with corporate governance, M&A, and/or venture capital transactions.

This position can sit in any of the following offices: Akron, Columbus, or Toledo, Ohio; Sarasota or Tampa, Florida; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Charlotte, North Carolina or Charleston, South Carolina.

Education, Experience and Skills:

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school
• Active bar license for the state in which candidate will work
• Minimum 3+ years of corporate securities experience
• Strong technological skills, including proficiency with practice management systems and portals
• Superior research skills, including the use of online services and databases
• Project management skills, including the ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadline
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain a high degree of confidentiality

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting position static for up to one-half hour at a time
• Lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to one hour per day
• Bending and stooping occasionally, up to one-half hour per day
