Description:

We are hiring our Senior Vice President (SVP) of Market Rate Housing! The SVP of Market Rate Housing provides the executive leadership, management, and vision necessary and develops and deploys strategies to ensure all Market Rate Housing affiliates meet short- and long-term financial and mission-critical strategic and operational goals. Implements operational processes to meet the needs of the business, produce sustainable growth, and minimize risk. Evaluates operational performance results against organizational goals. Audits operations to ensure compliance with Culture of Excellence, Market Rate operating standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborates with all team members and supports the development of innovative programs and services designed to transform the perception of age and enhance the lives of seniors served.

Our SVP of Market Rate Housing:
  • Provides customer experience-focused operational leadership to Market Rate Housing affiliates and their support teams such as Vice Presidents, Regional Directors and other management members of the Housing Division.
  • Works with executive leadership to develop and execute operational initiatives to meet company goals and standards and all state and national regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborates with and support all shared services leaders to achieve effective and efficient shared services systems, programs and shared services delivery.
  • Has a bias to action regarding business decisions when necessary to sustain division well-being.
  • Actively attracts, motivates, retains and coaches a group of high performing teams.
  • Performs site visits to provide training, guidance, hands on application, audits and reviews as needed on executing programs and policies.
  • Assists VPs, RDs and EDs in development of their management teams, including assistance with interviewing and hiring, training and coaching/counseling.
  • Builds relationships and establishes credibility throughout the executive, senior and regional team in order to be an effective listener and problem solver when necessary.
  • Responsible for setting goals and objectives for operations, sales and clinical functions within the region and monitoring progress.
  • Conducts bi-weekly one on one meetings with each individual direct report.
  • Provides strategies, guidance, and execution to meet or exceed individual community and overall portfolio financial budgets/key performance indicators (KPIs), occupancy & revenue KPIs, expenses KPIs, operating KPIs, quality assurance KPIs and market rate affiliates' shared services KPIs.
  • Monitors and maintains positive reputation of Transforming Age, all affiliates including market communities and portfolio in external community, including social media.
  • Develops and implements systems, policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient operations.
  • Applies the Transforming Age Culture of Excellence to portfolio strategy and daily operations.
  • Ensures all company policies and procedures, including marketing, clinical, management and accounting, are implemented and followed.
  • Ensures compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures within the communities.
  • Stays abreast of changes within the senior living industry in respect to new concepts, innovative ideas, regulatory changes, changes to licensure requirements and changes in laws governing the properties managed by Transforming Age.
  • Exhibits Transforming Age Culture of Excellence through servant leadership.
  • Promotes the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility.
  • Performs other duties as assigned/designated by Transforming Age.

What you need to succeed:
  • A minimum of 2 years required as SVP of Operations for a multi-site and multi-product senior housing provider.
  • At least 5 years required as VP of Operations or similar roles in senior living services with multi-community oversight responsibility.
  • A minimum of 10 years of overall experience required in management, preferably in the area of senior living services.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited, four-year college or university in the area of business administration, accounting, finance, gerontology, healthcare administration or related field (preferred) or the equivalent in education, training and experience.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management experience.
  • A strong job history showing commitment to past positions.
  • Must possess a current and valid driver's license.
  • Must meet and demonstrate SVP-level Leadership Competencies.
  • Must be competent and knowledgeable in market rate operations, KPIs, products and programs, service delivery, policies, and procedures.
  • This individual must have a proven record of the ability to create unity among staff in a limited amount of time.
  • Requires knowledge and experience in laws governing the operations of senior living communities.
  • Strong strategic, financial acumen and budget management experience.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Ability to identify, evaluate and mitigate risk.
  • Ability to represent the company effectively in a variety of settings with a demonstrated understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures.
  • Ability to develop, analyze, and interpret business policies, procedures, training materials, and communications.
  • Ability to effectively advocate ideas and influence internal and external audiences.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively develop and deliver content in a polished and professional manner for small and large audiences at all levels, and for remote and in-person settings.
  • Ability to effectively plan, set priorities, and manage complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines and achieve business results.
  • Ability to address problems, processes and issues using first-, second- and third-order thinking.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, supervise, train and communicate orally and in writing to internal and external partners.
  • Must be able to travel 50% or more of the time.
  • Proficiency in computer use and relevant software applications such as Microsoft 365, Point Click Care, Salesforce, NetSuite.
  • Knowledge and experience in state and federal wage and hour laws.
  • Knowledge of risk/loss control and prevention through maintenance.
  • Knowledge of aspects of marketing, which includes, but is not limited to, sales skills, advertising, census management, and public relations.
  • Exceptional problem solving and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated skills and abilities to effectively manage, supervise, train and communicate orally and in writing.
