Responsibilities:
- Assist ALM Group in development and management of Treasury's forecast for the entire Bank.
- Support the Corporate Treasury processes, working with the Balance Sheet Analytics, Liquidity & Funding, and Investment Portfolio groups to integrate ALM data.
- Assist Corporate Treasury in development of risk management strategies.
- Provide analytical support in building the monthly asset/liability model to accurately forecast the Bank's net interest income and market value profile.
- Employ data skills to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient flow of information into the asset/liability model and for creation of additional financial metrics to manage the Bank's position.
- Maintain regulatory compliance with all interest rate risk management directives. Monitor, analyze and reconcile differences between regulatory and in-house rate risk measures.
Qualifications:
- Highly motivated professional focused on monetizing value, flexible in considering new information, and demonstrated ability to adapt and evolve to changing market conditions at a relatively large and complex banking or financial institution.
- 3 or more years of financial markets experience with a focus on fixed income investments, funding, derivatives markets, or balance sheet management is necessary.
- Exposure to finance, accounting, economics, fixed-income investments, derivatives markets, or the banking industry is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required, along with significant computer proficiency including database management and financial modeling.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate complex concepts to a wide audience with clarity.
- A bachelor's degree is required, ideally in finance, mathematics, or another quantitative discipline.
