Overview

Tecolote Research is seeking an experienced Cost Analyst to join our National Capital Programs Group. The is full-time onsite position at Join Base Anacostia/Bowling in Washington, DC and requires a Top-Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI eligibility. The expected salary range is $70,000 - $130,000 and is dependent a variety of factors, including total years of relevant experience, academic achievement, and relevant professional certifications. In addition to your salary, Tecolote offers a 100% Company funded defined contribution retirement plan, a 100% company funded employee stock ownership plan, and paid Major Medical Insurance for you and your family members.

Responsibilities

  • As a Cost Analyst, you will be supporting the U.S Navy across a portfolio of critical programs by developing cost estimates and models, performing cost analysis, and analyzing vendor proposals to support contract negations and awards.
  • Youll be required to analyze and integrate large datasets from a variety of sources in order to develop well documented and defendable estimates.
  • The cost models you utilize and develop will support a variety of supplemental efforts, including What-If analysis, Business Case Analysis, and budget requests.
  • The analysis and recommendations you present will enable senior leadership to make critical strategic decisions.

Skills Required

Must Have:

  • Top-Secret Clearance with ability to obtain SCI eligibility
  • Minimum of 3 years experience performing cost estimating or financial/business case analysis
  • Familiarity with industry standard EVM analysis tools (Microsoft Excel, ACEIT, etc.)
  • B.S in Economics, Business, or a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) field
  • Willingness to work full-time onsite in a classified environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Nice to Have:

  • Experience supporting DoD Program Offices
  • Experience working in a classified environment
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFAR and GAO/DoD Cost Estimating Guides
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • International Cost Estimating and Analysis (ICEAA) Certification
  • Advanced Degree (MBA, etc..)

Education

Bachelors degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
