Key Areas of Responsibility (Answerable for the following end results)
  • Co-lead RFQ kick-off meetings for new business opportunities organized by New Business Development / Key Accounts Management Lead.
  • Coordinate internal quotation development meetings with cross-functional owners to drive cost-effective proposals aligned with customers' RFQ scope of work and Emotiv internal standards.
  • Oversee the quotation timeline established during the RFQ kickoff, ensuring alignment with both internal and customer timing expectations.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the quote analysis process and strategically apply it to enhance the financial outcomes of quotes.
  • Consolidate cost input provided by cross-functional owners into Quote Model (QM) and conduct Program Financial Analysis (PFA).
  • Thoroughly record all internal and customer quotation assumptions, incorporating inputs from cross-functional owners and the New Business Development/Key Account Management Lead.
  • Ensure all quote studies align with Emotiv sales strategies and new business development methodologies.
  • Complete QM and PFA activities with New Business Development / Key Accounts Management support.
  • Continuously update and maintain each iteration of QM and PFA study throughout the quote process, utilizing them as essential analytical tools.
  • Prepare QM and PFA summaries for cross functional owners and management sign-off for each iteration prior to Executive approval.
  • Assist New Business Development / Key Account Management teams in both the preparation for and participation in Executive Management Reviews.
  • Develop and maintain internal cost data for use in quoting and performance analysis (overhead, labor, salary, etc.).
  • Assist the Program Cost and Innovation Lead in all aspects of the quotation process, tools, standardized workflows and continuous improvement efforts, including but not limited to cost data collection and analysis, and upkeep of standardized work instructions.
  • Provide support as needed for launch activities and discussions on scope changes related to the quoted terms that secured the contract award.
  • Create and refine financial models to assess the performance and viability of new OEM programs during their launch phase.
  • Document all activities as required during the quotation process.
  • Adhere to all company guidelines for Emergency Evacuation to ensure employee safety.
  • Any additional responsibility deemed necessary by management.

Limits of Authority
  • Advise Department Manager of those situations that may pose a significant risk to the program, product assurance, facilities, employee safety or customer satisfaction results.
  • Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product, process & systems.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process or system.
  • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through the appropriate channels and verify implementation.
  • Control further processing and delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency is corrected.

Basic Education, Experience and Skills Required
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or business related field (accounting, finance, etc.).
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in an automotive manufacturing/engineering related environment. Practical experience in a product-costing environment.
  • Proficient in computer-based applications like Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with emphasis on spreadsheet analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and "Think Customer" experience
  • Able to maintain confidential information.

Health, Safety and Physical Demand Requirements
  • Normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility to move around an office and plant environment, able to conduct normal amount of work on a computer.
