Position Overview:

The Clinical Director LICSW is a leader who exemplifies excellence in the delivery of mental health services, and a change manager overseeing the program's development and design. Provides oversight of quality, compliance, outcomes. Oversee staff safety, service delivery, and financial performance. Help to create an agency-wide behavioral health system across M.O.C.'s continuum of care with oversight of M.O.C.'s behavioral health expansion. Foster a culture of trust, innovation, openness, collaboration, and mutual respect.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide supervision to clinical and administrative staff, including their recruitment, hiring, training, and professional development.
  • Continuously monitor the clinical competencies of staff and the effectiveness of services, taking appropriate action as needed to ensure excellence in these areas.
  • Hold staff accountable to high expectations of performance by articulating expectations, monitoring performance, and providing consistent feedback.
  • Oversee MOC's utilization review and quality assurance activities, contributing as the lead member of the clinical Multi-Disciplinary Team.
  • Actively cultivate and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal M.O.C. programs and staff.
  • Serve as the clinic spokesperson, advising M.O.C. staff on mental health related issues and making meaningful contributions both internally and to external organizations through in-services.
  • Review and update annually the outpatient clinic's policy and procedure manual.
  • Prepare operational reports and analysis to identify trends, establish metrics of success, and recommend solutions as it pertains to staff productivity.
  • Actively resolve client crises, including participation in after-hours on call rotation.
  • Provide direct psychotherapy to clients in a manner commensurate with their needs and industry best practice standards as part of a caseload.
  • Ensure that M.O.C.'s mission, vision, values, operating principles, and strategic direction are consistently communicated and evident.
  • Maintain program compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and contractual requirements.
  • Adhere to all applicable regulatory, accreditation, and professional ethics standards.


Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Independent clinical licensure (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Eligible for credentialing with Medicare and MCO's.
  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in the management of behavioral health operations in Massachusetts.
  • An in-depth working knowledge of administration and operations with a strong emphasis on, and an understanding of financial management, strategic planning, client care, quality assessment and improvement, risk management, employee relations and human resource management.
  • Experience with networking and start up programs preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience working with a range of clinical presentations and client populations.
  • Ability to work both in the office and remotely from home.
  • Ability to manage multiple programs and/or service systems.
  • Strong computer technology skills, including the ability to conduct telehealth sessions and use electronic health records.
  • Excellent organizational, communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.


Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Compensation:

A salary within the range of $88,800 to $133,200 annually will be provided to the successful candidate having met the minimum requirements for the position consistent with the MOC compensation philosophy.
