POSITION SUMMARY:

The Creative Director is a key leadership role in The Creative Group for Luxury Brand Holdings as we continue to modernize and transform our portfolio of fine jewelry brands; Ross Simons, RS-Pure, Canaria, and Rare Luxuries. This person reports to the Vice President of Creative, working collaboratively with a cross-functional team to lead and shape the brand's visual identity and design, ensuring a cohesive and compelling narrative across all of our assets in print and digital.

This role requires an individual who is conceptual and strategic, with an impeccable aesthetic-someone who champions a clear and strategic creative vision, balancing creative excellence with structured, results-driven execution. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of refined aesthetics. This person inspires and nurtures creative talent, fostering a collaborative environment that brings out the best in both in-house teams and external partners. They must also be both a visionary and a hands-on contributor-someone who can think big while also rolling up their sleeves to execute and bring ideas to life.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Leadership & Brand Vision
  • Define, develop, and execute a forward-thinking creative vision that positions the portfolio of brands as leaders in fine jewelry and innovation.
  • Uphold and refine the brand's visual identity, ensuring it remains visually compelling, cohesive, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Establish creative direction for all brand expressions, from seasonal campaigns to digital experiences, and catalogs.
  • Act as a thought leader, challenging conventional norms while maintaining the brand's heritage and core values.

Concept Development & Strategic Execution
  • Oversee the conceptualization of seasonal campaigns, product launches, and visual storytelling, ensuring a balance of innovation and commercial success.
  • Develop creative strategies that enhance brand awareness, engagement, and desirability among new and loyal customers.
  • Ensure that all creative output reflects a best-in-class standard, elevating the brand's perception across all customer touchpoints.
  • Continuously push the boundaries of digital and print storytelling, experimenting with new mediums and techniques.

Multi-Channel Content & Design Oversight
  • Lead and direct Art Directors and designers on all creative work across print, digital, e-commerce, social media.
  • Work closely with a cross-functional creative team: copywriters, photographers, videographers, stylists, and production teams to execute compelling campaigns that resonate with customers.
  • Oversee art direction for brand photography, videography, ensuring a flawless, refined aesthetic.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure digital platforms (website, e-commerce, email marketing) reflect a seamless and compelling experience.

Leadership & Team Management
  • Inspire, mentor, and manage a team of designers, art directors, and content creators, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Guide the creative team in balancing artistic expression with commercial viability.
  • Provide clear feedback, direction, and support to ensure team members achieve their best work.
  • Manage relationships with external creative partners, agencies, and freelancers as needed.

Project & Resource Management
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deliverables meet deadlines and maintain the highest quality standards.
  • Allocate resources efficiently, balancing financial constraints with artistic ambition.
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing and merchandising teams to align creative output with business goals.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in a senior creative role, with 3+ years in the jewelry, beauty, fashion, or related industries.
  • Proven expertise in design leadership, brand development, and strategic creative direction. Experience in visual communication, brand storytelling, and customer-centric design is essential.
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates creativity, innovation, and commercial appeal with an understanding of refined, beauty aesthetics.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire, mentor, and lead a creative team to execute high-quality work.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments, including merchandising, marketing, and executive leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of the jewelry market, including an understanding of craftsmanship, materials, and the customer journey.
  • Expertise in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Strong knowledge in the use of AI and other emerging technologies is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate and sell creative ideas to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • A strong business acumen, with an ability to align creative vision with company goals and objectives.
  • A refined and sophisticated aesthetic sensibility, with a deep understanding of elevated branding and visual storytelling.
