Position Summary:
The Credit and Collections Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's credit and collections operations, ensuring timely payments, managing credit risk, and maintaining strong relationships with customers. This role provides leadership and direction to a team of five, including Credit and Collections Specialists, Senior Credit and Collections Specialists, and Accounts Receivable Specialists, to optimize cash flow and minimize bad debt exposure.

For this role, the annual base pay generally ranges from $90,000 to $120,000, with the final offer determined by variable factors including but not limited to market location, job-specific knowledge, skills, education, and experience. In addition, your total rewards package may include an annual discretionary bonus plan, incentive or sales bonus plan, or other form of additional compensation, based on your role.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the credit and collections team, fostering a high-performance and customer-focused culture.
- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to ensure effective risk management and collection strategies.
- Assess customer creditworthiness through financial statement analysis, credit reports, and industry benchmarks.
- Approve and set credit limits in line with company policies.
- Monitor and analyze accounts receivable aging reports to drive timely collections and mitigate overdue balances.
- Work closely with internal teams, including Sales, Finance, and Legal, to resolve disputes and enhance credit operations.
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements with delinquent accounts when necessary.
- Provide regular reporting and insights on credit risk, collections performance, and cash flow impact to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and financial best practices.
- Train, mentor, and develop team members, promoting continuous improvement and professional growth.
Desired Credentials:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with a focus on inventory accounting preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Expertise in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- High business acumen, with the ability to anticipate future trends and their impact on the business.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills, with experience working directly with senior management.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
